FAQ

How Much Does Branding Cost in India?

There's no honest single number for this, and any agency quoting one before understanding your scope is quoting a marketing figure, not a real estimate. What follows is what actually drives the cost, so you can budget realistically before the first conversation rather than after.

Why there's no flat rate card

Branding work spans a huge range of scope. Naming a new product is a different job from repositioning an established company with twelve years of accumulated material to unwind. A logo refresh is a different job from a full identity system covering packaging, guidelines and digital application. Any single number published on a website is either wildly padded to cover the largest possible scope, or wildly optimistic and destined to change the moment a real project starts. We'd rather tell you what moves the number than give you one that doesn't apply to your project.

What actually determines the cost

Scope: how much of the system you need built. Naming alone is the smallest engagement. Naming plus identity is larger. A full system — positioning, naming, identity, packaging, guidelines and the digital application of all of it — is the largest and most expensive, but also the one that avoids paying for pieces individually and then discovering they don't agree with each other.

Starting point: clean slate versus existing material. A brand-new business with nothing to unlearn moves faster than an established one where existing material, stakeholder opinion and prior decisions all need to be reconciled first. The second is real work, and it's usually underestimated by clients coming from the first quote.

Stakeholders and sign-off. A single founder making the call moves faster than a business with a board, multiple partners, or a marketing committee. More voices in the room is not inherently a problem, but it does change the timeline and, indirectly, the cost of the engagement.

Deliverables and file formats. A guidelines PDF is different from a full guidelines system with editable source files, templates, and application examples across every surface the brand touches. What you need downstream — an in-house team producing their own material, versus an agency doing it forever — changes what's worth building upfront.

What we can tell you honestly

We don't publish rates, for the reasons above — but we will give you a real, specific estimate once we understand what you're trying to solve, and we'll tell you plainly if a budget you have in mind is workable for the scope you're describing, before either of us commits to anything. That conversation costs nothing and takes less time than reading a generic price list would save you from a bad estimate.

FAQ

Is branding always expensive?
It scales with scope, same as any professional service. A focused naming project is a smaller engagement than a full brand-and-digital system. The expensive version isn't a fixed floor — it's a choice about how much you're solving at once.
Why won't agencies publish their rates?
Because a rate card accurate enough to be useful would need to cover every possible scope, which makes it either misleadingly low (the smallest possible project) or misleadingly high (the largest). Most agencies that publish a number are publishing a marketing figure, not a real quote.
What's the cheapest way to get started with a brand?
Naming and positioning alone, without a full identity build, is usually the smallest real engagement — useful for an early-stage business that needs strategic clarity before committing to the larger visual system. We'll tell you honestly if that's the right starting point for where you are.
